Position Overview
The Hydraulic Service Technician will operate from the workshop facility in Perth, engaging in regular shutdowns at some of Western Australia's largest mining operations. This role includes on-site repairs, servicing, and maintenance of hydraulic, pneumatic, and lubrication systems. A significant portion of the work will involve mine shutdown activities in the Pilbara region, with additional compensation for remote work.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, maintain, and install hydraulic, pneumatic, and lubrication systems.
- Provide estimates, options, and enhancements to clients.
- Conduct mine shutdown work related to hydraulic and lubrication systems.
- Support and collaborate with other trades as necessary.
- Document processes, maintenance, and activities accurately.
- Work efficiently and cooperatively to meet team objectives.
Required Skills and Experience
- Trade certification in Mechanical Engineering (Fitting) is essential.
- Tertiary education in Fluid Power is preferred.
- Extensive experience in the hydraulic sector, delivering fluid power solutions for industrial and mining equipment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Experience in mentoring and developing other trade personnel.
