We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Architect/Principal Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading architectural design, project management, and consultant coordination.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination
    • Meet with consultant teams to discuss project progress and requirements.
    • Communicate with clients and their representatives to ensure project expectations are met.
    • Minimize duplication and rework of documentation suites.
  • Review Team Member Work
    • Review team member work to ensure it meets project requirements.
    • Sign off documentation and conduct QA checks before issuing to clients.
  • Project Management Conduit
    • Communicate and work directly between design and project management teams to streamline expectations and deliverables.
  • Design & Construct Coordinator
    • Structure efficiencies in documentation suites to enable site professionals to deliver their objectives.
    • Act as a conduit between contractors and key personnel to manage expectations and deliverables.
    • Ensure design documentation does not exceed requirements.
  • Minimize Duplication of Standards and Codes
  • Client Briefing and Planning
    • Work with management to obtain a client brief to determine project requirements.
    • Organize the planning process, including designs, materials, building times, and costs estimates.
  • Project Leadership and Coordination
    • Experience in project leadership and proficiency in dealing with outside contractors and consultants.
    • Capable of managing commercial projects, including architectural design, detailing, and documentation.
  • Mentorship and Training
    • Mentor the team to bring out the best in everyone.
    • Commit to regular training sessions to improve design skills and knowledge.
  • Management Style and Work Ethic
    • Adept a management style and work ethic that aligns with the company's key behaviors.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Architecture.
  • Minimum 3-5 years industry-related experience as a Principal Consultant.
  • Excellent client and consultant management skills.
  • Project Directorship and mentoring of staff with effective communication skills.
  • Understanding of building design requirements, history, cultural, and environmental concerns.
  • Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design and Drafting, including AutoCAD and Revit for 3D modeling.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office.
