Fabrication Specialist

Overview:

GRiP is seeking a skilled Fabrication Specialist to join our team in New South Wales, Australia. As a key member of our production team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful construction of steel tanks according to company quality standards.

Salary: AU$70,000 - AU$90,000 per annum

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for welding components for steel tanks according to detailed codes, drawings, and company quality standards. This requires a hands-on professional with experience in welding and fabrication to assist in manufacturing, repairs, and maintenance activities within the workshop.

Key responsibilities include:

• welding steel components according to engineering drawings and specifications;
• assisting in the manufacture and assembly of steel tanks;
• performing welding repairs and maintenance on steel components and equipment as required;
• completing quality assurance (QA) documentation and process control paperwork;
• maintaining high standards of housekeeping within the workshop.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

• a Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade or equivalent;
• relevant experience in steel welding, with a focus on structural or tank manufacturing;
• the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings;
• knowledge of welding codes, standards, and safety procedures;
• familiarity with QA processes and documentation.
