
Psychologist for Professional Development

This role will be involved in supporting and facilitating professional development and supervision within the Allied Health directorate. The Professional Development Psychologist is responsible for providing assessment and intervention for individuals with disability, including people supported by Samaritans Therapy and Behaviour Support Team (TaBS).
Key Responsibilities- Provide assessment and intervention for individuals with disability.
- Support and facilitate professional development and supervision within the Allied Health directorate.
- Collaborate with families and supporting services to build capacity and skills.
The ideal candidate will have experience in pediatric psychological assessment and therapy, with a focus on supporting NDIS Participants and diagnostic assessments for children 0–16 years. They will also have an understanding of early intervention services for children 0–8 years with a disability.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Current AHPRA Registered Psychologist
- Experience working with adults as a Psychologist and supporting individuals living with a disability in a range of settings
- Demonstrated knowledge of trauma and history
- Commitment to ongoing professional development & implementing evidence into practice
- Ability to communicate recommended intervention strategies with a range of stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Understanding of confidentiality principles and WHS responsibilities
