About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to develop strong customer relationships in this major agricultural region in Tasmania. The successful candidate will work closely with key clients to provide superior agronomic advice and inputs, focusing on horticulture agronomy and crop monitoring.

The role will involve sharing information with producers related to environmental and seasonal conditions affecting crop production, performing soil testing, and studying other factors impacting production to provide sound fertilizer, nutrient, and soil recommendations to improve quality and yield. You will also conduct field demonstrations and trial work for product development in conjunction with key suppliers.

In addition, you will collaborate with branch staff to drive promotions, merchandising, and sales performance.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a passion for Australian agriculture, demonstrating a solid understanding of products and production systems, ideally with some exposure to horticulture/broadacre cropping. You will also demonstrate the following skills and qualifications:

  • Strong technical knowledge in agronomic practices and application
  • A minimum of 2-3 years' experience building enduring and successful partnerships with customers, delivering appropriate agronomic advice and services
  • A history of success in executing sales outcomes using your specialist knowledge of fertiliser, seed, and chemical products and application applicable to those crops grown in the central highlands
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing, and communication skills
  • A driver's license and, whilst not essential, a forklift license would be advantageous
Estimated Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 Per Year Benefits
