About the Role
As a Support Worker in our Allambie Heights Hub, you will play a vital role in supporting and empowering people with disability to live a life of their choosing. You will provide a range of services, assisting clients to live independently, participate in their local community, and engage in meaningful opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver person-centred programs to support clients in living an active lifestyle and participating in their community
Work with behaviour support plans, utilising positive behaviour strategies
Assist and support clients with personal and hygiene care
Communicate with families about clients' progress
Maintain progress notes and record-keeping
About You
You are passionate about making a difference and want to contribute to the lives of our clients. As a positive and energetic person, you will thrive in a fun and dynamic environment, working collaboratively with a team. You will demonstrate the ability to engage, communicate, and build partnerships with people.
Requirements:
Experience in the Disability sector and demonstrated knowledge of supporting high needs clients
Ability to support others with personal and hygiene care
Personal qualities of resilience, empathy, and self-confidence
High levels of enthusiasm, initiative, and a positive attitude while acting with integrity, honesty, and respect
