Job Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join our team in Brisbane CBD. As a key member of our audit department, you will be responsible for overseeing and leading comprehensive financial audits at a global mid-tier firm.

About the Role: This is a challenging opportunity for a seasoned auditor with strong organizational skills and the ability to mentor and guide teams effectively. You will plan, execute, and report on financial audits, ensuring adherence to audit standards and effective client communication.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and scope audits, understanding client specifics, industry risks, and controls
  • Conduct fieldwork with meticulous documentation and performance tests, evaluating findings and communicating progress to clients
  • Prepare clear, precise audit reports, addressing issues based on significance ratings
  • Review workpapers, manage time effectively, and provide on-the-job training for technical gaps
  • Lead financial audits, directing teams to meet engagement expectations
  • Maintain clear communication with clients to ensure timely completion of assurance work
  • Provide feedback on team performance and contribute to performance reviews
  • Assist Senior Audit Manager in monitoring team progress and guiding technical queries

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or related field
  • CA/CPA qualification preferred
  • Minimum six years' recent experience as an Auditor in public practice
  • Strong understanding of Accounting principles and practices
  • Advanced problem-solving skills with a focus on risk assessment
  • Proven experience in team management, feedback provision, knowledge sharing, and support
  • Exceptional interpersonal, report writing, and presentation skills
  • Capability to recognize and pursue new business opportunities
  • Ability to thrive under deadlines and in high-pressure environments
  • Proactive and autonomous work approach
  • Holistic view of engagements and application of professional skepticism
