Job Description

We are seeking a Medical Case Manager to join our team. As a Medical Case Manager, you will play a critical role in assessing and managing complex medical review cases. You will apply your medical expertise and sound understanding of policy and legislation to make well-informed decisions, even in situations where clear precedents do not exist.

Your primary responsibility will be to assess and manage complex medical review cases, applying the Assessing Fitness to Drive guidelines, legislation, policies, and procedures to determine fitness to drive. You will provide expert advice and prepare accurate documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

You will also identify and analyze key trends from correspondence and phone inquiries to inform process improvements and build team capability through innovative solutions. Additionally, you will influence and negotiate with stakeholders to promote consistent, fair engagement and drive improved outcomes for both customers and the business.

In this role, you will work closely with the Manager, Medical Review, to develop and implement innovative practices that support continuous improvement and workplace change. You will contribute to the development of education programs for internal and external stakeholders and foster a culture of ongoing business improvement.

Requirements
  • Qualifications: Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), registered to work in Victoria and experience relevant to the role.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and a sound understanding of policy and legislation.
