About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Agile Coach to join our Business Services Department and play a pivotal role in embedding agile ways of working across our delivery teams. As the thought leader of the Agile Centre of Excellence (COE), you will guide Scrum Masters, Agile champions, and cross-functional teams. You will be a key driver in supporting the successful adoption of the City's new operating model, ensuring agile methodologies are fully integrated and sustained across platforms and product teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Agile COE and coach cross-functional delivery teams to implement agile methodologies.
  • Facilitate the successful adoption of agile principles and frameworks across various departments and platforms.
  • Mentor and coach team members, including Scrum Masters and Agile champions, to foster an agile mindset.
  • Work closely with Transformation Program and Leadership teams, providing guidance on agile practices.
  • Develop and track agile metrics and KPIs to measure the success of agile adoption.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement effective strategies.
  • Manage risks, dependencies, and blockers within agile environments.
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies, ensuring efficient and effective meetings.
  • Leverage tools such as JIRA to support agile delivery processes.
About You

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Agile Coach who can demonstrate the following:

  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of experience as an Agile Coach within a digital or matrixed environment.
    • Proven ability to coach and mentor teams in agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, and Lean.
  • Skills:
    • Strong facilitation and leadership skills with a track record of successfully leading agile ceremonies.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.
    • Ability to develop and track agile metrics, KPIs, and measure the impact of agile adoption.
    • Proficiency in using agile tools like JIRA.
  • Qualifications:
    • Certification in Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Lean).
    • Certification in Agile Coaching.
  • Desirable Attributes:
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify process improvement opportunities.
    • Demonstrated experience in managing risks and dependencies in agile environments.
