About the Job

We are seeking a Trade Assistant/Cable Hauler to join our NSW team.

  • Assist trade workers with lifting and hauling cables
  • Lay cable with precision and care
  • Ensure all safety regulations are followed at all times
  • Perform manual tasks associated with installation, including pipe proving and blockage clearing
Key Responsibilities:
  • Hauling of fibre optic cables
  • Proving ducts using jetters and rodders
  • Installing pits and other underground infrastructure
  • Operating tools and machinery, such as whacker packers and generators
  • Asbestos removal
  • Rod and Rope, Hauling and/or recovery of underground and aerial cables
  • Sites setup, wrap-up, clean up & reinstatements
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Civil construction and telecommunications experience, preferably in cable hauling, pit & pipe, and trenching
  • NBN Enable Accreditation
  • Construction White Card
  • Pit & Pipe Certification
  • Asbestos (ACM) Accreditation
  • A valid HR or MR Licence and excavator competency is highly regarded
  • Implement Traffic Control Plans Card
  • Certificate in First Aid (HLTAID003)
  • Identify, locate and protect underground services (RIICCM202E)
  • A can-do attitude, strong teamwork skills and reliability
  • Focusing on quality, attention to detail and safety
