About the Role

We are seeking a visionary leader to take charge of our Health and Physical Education department. As Head of Department, you will be responsible for shaping the educational vision, leading daily school life with socially just practices, setting high standards for student and staff performance, and building a collaborative culture within the HPE Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, articulate, and commit to a shared educational vision focused on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
  • Set high standards for student and staff performance.
  • Lead and model the school values and build a collaborative culture within the HPE Department.
  • Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
  • Form partnerships with students, parents, other government agencies, and community groups.
  • Be futures oriented and strategic.
  • Understand the legislation and policies that impact schooling especially in relation to students and staff within the Department of Education, School, and HPE Department.
  • Manage the human, financial, facilities, and curriculum resources of the HPE Department to achieve quality learning outcomes for students.

  • The ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and staff.
