About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Solution Architect to join our elite engineering and solution design team in Sydney. As a key member of this team, you will play a crucial role in creating our next year data capabilities at an enterprise level with a modern mindset.

Your primary responsibility will be end-to-end accountability for designing, developing, deploying, and supporting data assets, as well as creating templates and implementation methods and standards.

This is an exceptional opportunity for someone who has significant solution design experience and a desire to work with modern ways of solutioning and engineering using modern technologies.

The ideal candidate will have experience in solution design and high-level design, with the ability to lead technical design discussions, estimation, and planning. They will also have exposure to data platforms, including data integration tools (ETL, batch and real-time), data warehouses, analytics, and data science.

In addition, the successful candidate will have deep understanding of solution designing aspects for several data-related solutions, including SQL Server, Azure, Synapse, SPARK & SQL, and modern ways of designing solutions based on machine learning and artificial intelligence.

Preferred experience in banking, finance transformation, and Institutional Banking (preferably Treasury) space is also desirable. The ability to build and mature data engineering teams and optimise delivery through training, outsourcing, recruitment, automation etc. is essential.
