About the Role
Crawford & Company is seeking a skilled Claims Management Specialist to join our team. As a Claims Management Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and resolving complex complaints and disputes related to insurance claims.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a high-volume caseload of property claim contacts following complaints
- Work closely with claim adjusters to examine claims forms, policies, and endorsements to determine coverage
- Provide recommendations to claim adjusters to ensure the progress of claims, often outside of standard claims management procedures
- Support and advise policyholders on their claims
- Act as a team escalation point and proactively manage complex or contentious cases to resolve disputes effectively
About You
- You are a self-driven, enthusiastic individual with a passion for problem-solving and continuous learning
- You possess excellent communication skills and a strong analytical mindset
- You are a people person with a caring, empathetic, and positive outlook
Requirements:
- At least 3 years' experience in insurance claims management review or assessment
- Demonstrated ability to understand and interpret insurance policies and possess strong technical claims experience
- Experience in dispute resolution and complex complaint management
