Port Pirie Children's Health Specialist

SA Health is seeking a dedicated professional to join our team at the Environmental Health Centre in Port Pirie, working to reduce lead exposure and improve health outcomes for children and families.
The successful candidate will have the benefit of providing comprehensive case management and preventative services to families with children at risk of elevated blood lead levels. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing specialised nursing, occupational therapy or social work services to support children and families impacted by lead exposure
- Working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Developing, evaluating and contributing to preventative programs and health promotion
- Building capacity through education, community engagement and case management
- Utilising clinical skills to deliver high-quality, person-centred care
About this role
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced nurse, occupational therapist or social worker to make a real difference in the lives of children and families in Port Pirie.
The core focus of the Environmental Health Centre is to provide assistance to families of young children (aged 0-5 years) in understanding the issues around environmental lead and managing family member's blood lead levels to improve health outcomes for pregnant women and children.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about improving children's environmental health and developmental outcomes with excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.

Estimated salary: $88,255 - $107,279 per annum
