Gippsland Water is seeking a highly skilled SCADA and Automation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our water treatment plants, pumping stations, and reservoirs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist analysis, technical, and support services associated with the automation of treatment plants, pumping stations, reservoirs, and other process infrastructure.
- Proactively identify new opportunities to leverage existing and emerging technologies to deliver ongoing improvements and efficiencies.
- Implement, enhance, and develop Operational Technology systems to ensure quality, improved security posture, and uninterrupted service.
- Review and improve automation and telemetry technologies to deliver on Gippsland Water's commitment to digital and broader business transformation objectives.
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering.
- Registered Professional Engineer in Victoria or eligible within 24 months.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-level customer-focused technical advice.
- Advanced understanding of modern software and hardware of control equipment and systems.
- Sound understanding of the needs for real-time and historical data to optimize operations and decision-making.
- High-level interpersonal skills to develop and maintain sound working relationships.
- Highly developed project management skills and the ability to manage contracts.
- Demonstrated analytical, critical, and lateral thinking ability with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to problem-solve, prioritize, and troubleshoot in a technical environment.
