Liverpool City Council is seeking a highly skilled Senior Property Officer to join their team. As a Senior Property Officer, you will be responsible for making lasting impacts in the organisation through property acquisitions and disposals. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with property acquisitions and disposals for planning purposes, including Council infrastructure in existing and new release areas, VPAs, and road closures.
  • Review and assess developer land dedications/transfers, preparing correspondence and facilitating transactions.
  • Review and assess granting easements associated with infrastructure projects, preparing correspondence and facilitating transactions.
  • Review and assess Road Closure & Sale applications, preparing correspondence and facilitating sales transactions.
  • Provide advice on Pre-Lodgement requests dealing with land acquisition items.
  • Manage specific projects for the property function.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders for property contracts, leases, and licences.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in Land Economics, Real Estate, or a property-related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Current Class C driver's licence.
  • Experience working in land acquisition matters.
  • Knowledge and experience in Land Acquisitions and Valuation of property under the provisions of the Land Acquisition (Just Terms Compensation) Act and Local Government Act.
  • Negotiation, implementation, and facilitation of agreements over granting easements and road/lane closures, and sale of property.
  • Customer service skills, effectively managing customer enquiries related to the Property portfolio.
  • Project Management experience, with the ability to prepare detailed property reports.
  • Proficiency in relevant computer software applications, including Word, Excel, and property-related applications and databases.
