Job Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and community-focused professional to play a key role in promoting safety, amenity, and compliance across the municipality through education and enforcement. The successful candidate will respond to a range of community concerns including parking, animal management, abandoned vehicles, unsafe properties, and anti-social behaviour.
Main Responsibilities- Respond to public enquiries and complaints relating to parking, animals, safety, and By-Law matters in a timely and professional manner.
- Conduct foot or vehicle patrols and issue infringement notices to enforce relevant legislation.
- Support animal management programs and other compliance activities aligned with Council policies and strategies.
- Maintain accurate records and reporting to support investigations, enforcement, and service improvement.
- Liaise with other service agencies, and internal stakeholders to support community safety and provide assistance where needed.
- Undertake investigations and evidence collection, including statements, interviews, inspections, warrants and seizures.
The ideal candidate is a community-minded person with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering responsive, on-the-ground services that contribute to the safety, wellbeing, and amenity of the community.
