Mechanical Engineer Lecturer Position

The Griffith School of Engineering and Built Environment (EBE) is seeking a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering to support high-quality teaching and maintain scholarly activities related to the discipline. As a key member of the team, you will contribute to delivering courses on campus and online, with a focus on undergraduate Engineering programs, particularly in Mechanical Engineering.
Main Responsibilities:
- Foster an exceptional student experience by encouraging active participation and engagement in learning and teaching.
- Support high-quality learning outcomes through technology-enhanced learning, problem-oriented, authentic learning, and assessment practices.
- Continuously improve teaching practice through professional development and critical reflection.
- Provide educational contributions as a course convenor, promoting academic excellence and enhancing the School's reputation.
Requirements:
• PhD (or near completion) in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field.
• Demonstrated evidence of achieving high-quality learning outcomes, knowledge of current teaching principles, and practices.
• Previous experience in convening and teaching courses at the undergraduate level in Mechanical Engineering, especially Engineering Mechanics and Computational Statics and Dynamics.
• Research interest in advanced materials and/or manufacturing, specifically fibre-reinforced composites or auxetic materials.
