Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data center structural design strategies.
  2. Design and develop structural systems for data centers, including foundations, superstructures, and seismic analysis.

About the Team

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. Our team is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.

Requirements
  1. Accredited Bachelor's degree in structural engineering and +7 years of experience in structural engineering on large industrial, warehouse, hospitals, and commercial projects.
  2. Solid working proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Navisworks, SketchUp, and MS Office Suite, as well as related structural design software.
  3. Proficiency in building codes, regulations, and standards, including local and international standards.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Master or PhD degree in structural engineering and 5+ years of experience in structural design for data centers, telecom facilities, or mission-critical facility design.
  2. Professional Engineering Registration.
  3. Detailed understanding of tilt-up and precast concrete structures, structural steel systems, seismic analysis, wind loading, snow loading, building forensic analysis, geotechnical engineering, and structural modular design.
