MedTech Business Development Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Business Development Manager to join our team at the University of New South Wales, driving innovation and commercialising university IPs through licensing deals, partner collaboration grants, and research partnerships.

This permanent role is part of the Business Development & Commercialisation (BD&C) team within the Industry & Innovation Portfolio. The BD&C team leads IP management and commercialisation and manages partnerships with industry, government, and other external partners.

As Global MedTech Innovation Manager, you will operate as a key interface between UNSW and external partners, focusing on building and maintaining key relationships across various divisions, including Enterprise Legal, Founders, Research Division, External Relations Division, Philanthropy Division, and Faculty Executives.

The Role Includes:

  • Driving innovation and commercialising university IPs through licensing deals, partner collaboration grants, and research partnerships
  • Building and maintaining key relationships with industry, government, and other external partners
  • Collaborating with the New Venture Team to support spinout opportunities and facilitate university medical initiatives, including the Health Translational Hub (HTH) and the Randwick Health Innovation Precinct (RHIP)

About You:

  • You have a significant track record in developing and closing MedTech R&D related business deals, including research partnerships and IP commercialisation
  • You possess excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills
  • You are proactive in delivering training and capability development to academic researchers

Salary and Benefits:
