Therapeutic Caregiver

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Therapeutic Live-in Carer to join our team at Lifestyle Solutions. As a Therapeutic Live-in Carer, you will play a pivotal role in creating a positive impact on the lives of children and young people in our care.

• Manage household duties, including cleaning, washing, and meal preparation, to create a safe and nurturing environment for the young person.
• Provide age-appropriate care and support to help the young person develop to their full potential and learn new, positive emotional responses.
• Support the goals established in the child or young person's Individual Care Plan, which includes the 9 dimensions of well-being.
• Monitor and report health issues for each child or young person and respond to their individual health needs.
• Assist a young person to connect with their culture or religion, including going on trips to their country of origin.
• Work collaboratively with the child or young person's school to identify barriers to positive engagement in education and facilitate learning from home activities.
• Participate in social and recreational activities with the children and young people, such as playing games, going fishing, and crafts.

• Experience working with young people, particularly in therapeutic environments.
• Located within the Pilbara region.
• A positive, resilient attitude and a commitment to making a difference.
• A relevant diploma qualification or equivalent experience.
• A valid driver's license and willingness to work a week-on, week-off roster, including sleepover shifts.
• Experience working with children and young people with complex trauma or in Out-of-Home Care.
