Job Summary:
As a Facilities Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of our grounds and facilities. Your role will be crucial in ensuring a safe, accessible, and welcoming environment for our clients, team members, and visitors. This position requires a hands-on individual with a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on the organisation's properties, grounds, and equipment.
- Oversee the upkeep of outdoor spaces, including landscaping and gardening.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Manage and maintain tools, equipment, and supplies required for maintenance tasks.
- Assist with setting up and organising spaces for events or activities as required.
- Attend employee meetings, employee training and other meetings as requested
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance, landscaping, or a related field (within the community services industry is desirable).
- Relevant certifications in horticulture, landscaping or building maintenance is desirable.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and handle equipment safely.
- Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical systems, and general repair techniques.
- High level of work ethics and professionalism with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Blue Card for Working with Children and NDIS Worker Screening
- Drivers Licence
