Job Title:

OHS and Integrated Management Systems Executive

Job Description

This executive position is responsible for the development and maintenance of the company's integrated management system, focusing on health, safety, and environmental compliance.

The successful candidate will oversee the implementation of quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety programs, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards.

Key responsibilities include leading risk assessments and mitigation, training supervisors in reporting and implementing the management system, and providing expert advice to project teams.

Additionally, this role involves investigating incidents and near misses, implementing corrective actions, and collaborating with senior management to set OHS targets and key performance indicators.

Travel may be required for audits and regulatory inspections.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in OHS, environmental management, or a related field.
  • Substantial experience in similar management systems and OHS roles, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Proven expertise in developing and implementing integrated management systems to ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 standards.
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant OHS legislation, regulations, and industry codes of practice.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address systemic issues.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • High-level leadership style with the ability to coach and mentor others.
  • Experience with MANGO or other IMS computer systems.
