Role Overview

A seasoned leader is sought after to oversee corporate accounting and taxation functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting while maintaining full compliance with statutory and tax requirements.Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and consolidate monthly BAS, FBT, tax schedules, and statutory accounts to meet deadlines, guaranteeing timely delivery of high-quality output.
  • Evaluate and ensure full compliance with Australian tax laws, supervising individual tax returns across various tax groups, safeguarding the organization's interests.
  • Collaborate on monthly financial reports, monitoring performance metrics, and assisting with year-end accounts and audits, providing actionable insights for informed decision-making.
  • Support the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, fostering a culture of strategic planning and proactive risk management.
  • Develop and lead finance staff, focusing on competency development and succession planning, ensuring a pipeline of skilled professionals to drive business success.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, supervise team efforts, offer expert accounting advice, and assist with audits and terminal finance support, enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Maintain visibility into financial performance across operating divisions, provide variance analysis, and deliver timely, relevant reports to senior management, including monthly reports to stakeholders.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • Degree in Accounting and professional certification (CPA, CA) with 10 years' experience in statutory accounting and tax.
  • Thorough understanding of financial accounting, auditing, taxation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to manage demanding deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Experience with accounting software and year-end processes.
