About the Role:

The primary objective of this position is to maintain all stock within a warehouse setting and pick orders in a timely manner using safe manual handling procedures. This involves working from Monday to Friday between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm, with opportunities for overtime.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Working in a temperature-controlled environment
  • Undertake duties in a responsible and courteous manner
  • Plan, pick, and cross-check orders
  • Employ correct stock rotation principles based on the 'first in first out' rule
  • Ensure the warehouse remains neat, clean, and 'ready to pick' at all times
  • Put returned stock back into designated bin locations or damaged/low-code storage areas
  • Understand and adhere to HACCP regulations
  • Assist in site stock takes
  • Loading/unloading containers and delivery vehicles as needed

Key Competencies and Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with forklift operation and valid license
  • Freezer and cold storage expertise
  • Picking order experience preferably in the food service industry
  • Understanding of OH&S and food safety program (HACCP) and 'cold chain' process
  • Effective communication skills
  • A sound grasp of stock control
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility and adaptability
