VET Trainer and Assessor

The University of Notre Dame Australia is seeking a skilled Trainer and Assessor to join our Vocational Education and Training (VET) team at our Fremantle Campus.

As a Trainer and Assessor, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and delivering vocational education training and assessment in accordance with relevant training packages, standards, and frameworks.

You will play a crucial role in equipping our students with practical skills and knowledge that align with current industry requirements, enhancing their employability and career progression.

• Training Delivery: Conduct training sessions, develop training materials, and adapt training methods to meet the needs of our students.
• Assessment and Evaluation: Assess learner competency, provide feedback, maintain records, and participate in validation work processes.
• Learner Support: Support learners, monitor student progress, and encourage development for a positive learning experience.
• Quality Assurance: Adhere to training standards, ensure continuous improvement, and compliance standards are achieved.

• Relevant degree or vocational qualification in Education Support and/or Education/Teaching (primary or secondary).
• TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
• In-depth knowledge and skills of the industry or sector in which training is delivered.
• Effective interpersonal skills to interact with learners, colleagues, and industry stakeholders.
• Well-developed verbal and written communication skills to convey information with internal and external stakeholders.
