We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled unaccredited Ophthalmology trainee to join our team as a General Ophthalmology Registrar in 2026.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be involved in a wide range of clinical activities, including patient assessment, surgery, and outpatient clinics. They will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
As a General Ophthalmology Registrar, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of patients with various eye conditions, including cataracts, glaucoma, and age-related macular degeneration. You will also have the opportunity to participate in subspecialty exposure in medical retina, vitreoretinal surgery, oculoplastics, uveitis, glaucoma, and cornea.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be eligible for this role, applicants must have completed their basic medical training and hold a medical degree from a recognized institution. They should also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Experience in ophthalmology or a related field is desirable but not essential. The successful candidate will undergo comprehensive training and supervision to ensure they meet the required standards of practice.
