We are seeking a highly skilled Roster Coordinator to join our organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to work with us, promoting authenticity, purposefulness, responsibility, and understanding, with a mission to empower the vulnerable and people living with a disability.

Job Description
  • To oversee daily rosters and staffing matters for staff (primarily disability support workers).

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Manage all rostering matters, including addressing and resolving shift cancellations, open shifts, and general rostering.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of employee experience, geographic location, client background, and services required to match employees with shifts.
  • Escalate staff complaints from clients and non-compliance matters to Care Coordination.
  • Inform Care Coordination and HR of staffing needs on a regular basis.
  • Analyse potential staffing shortages and inform relevant stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including employees and client families, aware of client needs and preferences, and allocate staff accordingly.
  • Rostering in alignment with legislative guidelines.
  • Ensure the smooth running of services.
  • Document staffing issues and their status on the Client Services Register.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Qualifications:
    • Business Administration, Human Resources, or Cert 3 or 4 in disability (preferred but not essential)
  • Experience:
    • Previous experience in rostering, resource allocation, or scheduling roles.
    • Experience in disability, aged care, or nursing sectors.
  • Knowledge:
    • Knowledge of the Social, Community, Home Care, and Disability Services Award (highly desirable but training available)
  • Skills & competencies:
    • Strong communication, problem-solving, time management, and conflict resolution skills.
    • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Google Drive/Sheets, and Rostering Systems.
    • Flexibility and adaptability.
    • Ability to work under pressure and time constraints.
    • Excellent attention to detail.
    • Organised and customer service-focused.
    • Working rights (visa, PR, or Citizen)
