
Senior Disability Roster Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Roster Coordinator to join our organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to work with us, promoting authenticity, purposefulness, responsibility, and understanding, with a mission to empower the vulnerable and people living with a disability.
Job Description- To oversee daily rosters and staffing matters for staff (primarily disability support workers).
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Manage all rostering matters, including addressing and resolving shift cancellations, open shifts, and general rostering.
- Maintain a strong understanding of employee experience, geographic location, client background, and services required to match employees with shifts.
- Escalate staff complaints from clients and non-compliance matters to Care Coordination.
- Inform Care Coordination and HR of staffing needs on a regular basis.
- Analyse potential staffing shortages and inform relevant stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including employees and client families, aware of client needs and preferences, and allocate staff accordingly.
- Rostering in alignment with legislative guidelines.
- Ensure the smooth running of services.
- Document staffing issues and their status on the Client Services Register.
- Qualifications:
- Business Administration, Human Resources, or Cert 3 or 4 in disability (preferred but not essential)
- Experience:
- Previous experience in rostering, resource allocation, or scheduling roles.
- Experience in disability, aged care, or nursing sectors.
- Knowledge:
- Knowledge of the Social, Community, Home Care, and Disability Services Award (highly desirable but training available)
- Skills & competencies:
- Strong communication, problem-solving, time management, and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Google Drive/Sheets, and Rostering Systems.
- Flexibility and adaptability.
- Ability to work under pressure and time constraints.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Organised and customer service-focused.
- Working rights (visa, PR, or Citizen)
