Secondary Food Technology Teacher Role

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced educator to join our team as a Secondary Food Technology Teacher.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Development: Design and deliver engaging and effective learning programs for students in allocated classes, ensuring alignment with school objectives and pedagogical frameworks.
  • Classroom Management: Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment, promoting positive relationships among students and staff.
  • Student Assessment: Evaluate student progress, provide constructive feedback, and report on student performance to parents and stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to contribute to the development and implementation of school planning, achieving shared goals and enhancing student outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: A suitable qualification and accreditation in secondary education, or be eligible to obtain it.
  • Teaching Skills: Excellent teaching skills, aligned with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers, including the ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs.
  • Christian Faith: An active Christian faith, with a commitment to integrating biblical principles into teaching practices.
  • Professional Growth: The ability to receive feedback on teaching and implement changes, demonstrating a growth mindset and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Analytical Skills: Effective planning and analytical skills to improve student outcomes, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Certification: A current Employee Working With Children Check.
