About the Role

This is a leadership and delivery role focused on turning automation potential into business outcomes. You'll own the roadmap for internal systems, including off-the-shelf and custom-built solutions, and ensure timely delivery.

You'll blend off-the-shelf platforms with custom-built automation and AI to deliver results, manage a small, talented team, drive adoption, model ROI, and ensure the right mix of build vs buy.

Main Responsibilities
  • Delivery Leadership: Own the roadmap across internal platforms, guide project managers in backlog management, remove blockers, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Team Management: Lead and coach a team of engineers, support their growth through structured one-on-ones, feedback, and personal development planning.
  • Adoption & Change: Ensure solutions get used, roll out adoption plans including internal communications, metrics, training, and follow-up to hit 80%+ active usage within 90 days.
  • Build vs. Buy Judgement: Evaluate whether to customize, extend, or replace existing systems, lead rapid scoping, proof-of-concepts, and ROI modelling.
  • Technical Oversight: Ensure secure, API-first, scalable architecture, whether implementing off-the-shelf tools or building in-house.
  • Commercial Discipline: Make value-based decisions, align all work to commercial returns, staff efficiency, or customer outcomes.
