Dental Assistant Role

This rewarding role involves supporting dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, reprocessing instruments, assisting patients during procedures, and ensuring seamless evacuation of oral fluids. You will also educate patients on oral hygiene, plaque control, and post-operative instructions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional chair-side assistance with best-practice techniques.
  • Maintain quality control of dental equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Meet professional accountabilities through adherence to policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
  • Promote a culture of continuous quality improvement through active participation in LogiQC quality management systems.
  • Foster a positive working environment that aligns with workplace values.
  • Demonstrate expertise in clinical software systems, technology, and other applications.
  • Contribute to ongoing efficiency reviews to enhance clinical service provision.
  • Develop productive relationships at all levels, promoting cooperation, trust, and respect while valuing diversity and guiding staff development.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A willingness and ability to undertake a minimum of a Certificate III in Dental Assisting.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet targets and performance outcomes.
  • The capacity to support a continuous improvement model for achieving results.
  • Strong listening, influencing, and persuasive skills.
  • A current and valid National Police Check.
  • A Working with Children's Card (Blue Card) or eligibility to apply.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people is highly desirable.
