We are seeking a highly skilled Auto Electrician to join our team at AMA Group Australia. As a key member of our heavy vehicle repair division, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems in heavy vehicles, such as trucks and trailers.
Key Responsibilities- Perform general auto electrical work on trucks and other vehicles, ensuring high-quality repairs and maintenance.
- Workshop and field service work, providing excellent customer service and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Air conditioning repairs and service, including diagnosis and troubleshooting of complex electrical systems.
- Diagnose and repair faults in the electrical systems of heavy vehicles, using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Install and configure electrical components, such as batteries, alternators, and starter motors, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Troubleshoot and repair faults in vehicle lighting systems, including headlights, indicators, and brake lights, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Install and repair communication and entertainment systems, such as radios and GPS systems, providing a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems, identifying potential issues before they become major problems.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics, using this knowledge to diagnose and repair complex electrical issues.
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out and parts used, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Auto Electrician Trade Qualified (Essential)
- Mechanical knowledge to assist in the overall application of electrical works
- Computer knowledge to enable application of appropriate software with any electronic devices
- Be a self-starter and take responsibility for work
- An overall aptitude for technical activities
