Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to safety and quality work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain intermodal chassis to ensure they meet safety and operational standards.

  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections (PMIs) and DOT inspections.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues on chassis and related trailer equipment.

  • Weld, cut, and fabricate parts as necessary to complete repairs.

  • Operate power tools, hand tools, and shop equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Ensure all work complies with DOT regulations, company standards, and safety procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience in heavy duty vehicle repair and maintenance.

  • Knowledge of brake systems, lights, tires, and framework.

  • Basic welding skills preferred but not required.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions.

  • Valid driver's license.

  • Willingness to work in varying weather conditions.
