Wilmar Sugar Australia is a leading player in the sugar and renewable energy sectors. With a strong presence in Australia, we are seeking a highly skilled Traffic Officer to join our team.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the safe movement of trains on our railway network. This will involve maintaining correct procedures for operating two-way radio networks and Electronic Mimic Boards. Additionally, they will efficiently operate and amend ToTools transport scheduling software to ensure a continuous supply of cane to our mill.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Understanding of rail transport operations
• Able to work effectively within a team environment
• Work safely and look after the safety of others
• Possess excellent communication skills
• Good organisational and planning skills
• Good mechanical knowledge
• Self-driven with the ability to work with little or no supervision
• Good district knowledge of traffic operations
• Intermediate level of computer skills
• Hold a manual 'C' class driver's licence

Benefits

The role offers a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $80,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on experience. As a Burdekin Region employee, you may be required to work at any of the 4 Mills within the region, depending on business needs.
