We are a values-driven organization seeking an experienced leader to help shape Narrabri's future through strategic planning, regulatory compliance, and economic development initiatives.

The Director of Sustainable Growth is a key executive leadership position responsible for driving sustainable growth, ensuring robust regulatory compliance, and supporting economic development projects that deliver positive outcomes for our community.

This is a unique opportunity for a visionary leader to make a tangible impact while fostering a workplace culture grounded in integrity, unity, and trust.

As a member of our Executive Leadership Team, you will lead a diverse portfolio, including:
  • Strategic Planning and Development
  • Regulatory Compliance and Services
  • Economic Development Initiatives
You will be accountable for ensuring statutory processes are timely and solutions-focused, building trusted relationships with stakeholders, and delivering outcomes aligned with our organizational objectives. Importantly, you will also play a central role in major initiatives, such as activating industrial port precincts and facilitating residential growth projects to build the future of our region.

A sound understanding of the legislative frameworks in which NSW local government operates is critical.
