About the Role

Ventia's Defence Base Services (DBS) contract is seeking a highly skilled Project Supervisor to lead project management initiatives across our defence infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in estimating and budgeting, as well as coordinating works with sub-contractors in the civil/building construction industry. A strong background in construction and reactive maintenance is also highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop project proposals, including scoping, pricing, and preparation of technical or complex Alternative Proposals;
  • Define project objectives, scope estimating effort, and coordinate sourcing and evaluation of pricing data from subcontractors, suppliers, and internal resources;
  • Work closely with stakeholders to develop project briefs, cost, timelines, and host site meetings to determine accurate estimation of costs;
  • Manage project coordination and ensure effective communication with stakeholders;
  • Develop sourcing strategies to ensure competitive pricing and quality;
  • Ensure integrity of relevant estate data for each project for efficient access by the project Support Services Defence team;
  • Facilitate project close-out, including handover and archiving of project documentation;

Requirements:

  • Broad knowledge of cost planning and project management controls principles and practices;
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with ability to establish effective working relationships with various stakeholders at different levels;
  • Competency in MS Office suite, with knowledge of MMS SAP system advantageous;
  • OHS Card (White/Blue Card);
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines, and follow-through within a fast-paced environment;

We offer a competitive salary range of $110,000-$118,000 (all inclusive), access to discounts for over 450 retailers through our VenPerks scheme, and a wide range of learning and development opportunities. This is a permanent full-time position, based in Bullsbrook - RAAF Pearce, with regular travel required to other WA defence facilities within your area of responsibility.
