Secure Cloud Transformation Lead

We seek a highly skilled IT professional to lead our cloud transformation program. The successful candidate will ensure secure deployment of cloud services, migrate on-prem infrastructure to Azure, and enhance existing cyber security controls.

This role plays a critical part in delivering a secure cloud environment, migrating on-prem infrastructure, and maintaining compliance with Australian privacy and cyber security legislation.

The successful candidate will ensure secure configuration, access controls, and logging are in place for all migrated systems, assist in conducting vulnerability assessments and developing risk mitigation plans, and support documentation for Board reporting, Audit & Risk Committee reviews, and third-party integrations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deploy and maintain secure Azure and hybrid environments in line with Group architecture and governance frameworks.
  • Implement cloud-native security controls, identity management, encryption, and access policies.
  • Investigate and respond to security events in accordance with the Group Incident Response Plan.
  • Assist with patching, remediation, and threat mitigation activities across IT environments.
Requirements

A minimum 8+ years' experienced IT professional with at least 3–5 years focused on cloud and system administration in complex enterprise environments.

Demonstrated experience supporting end-to-end cloud migrations, particularly within Microsoft Azure, strong technical knowledge of Azure security architecture, Windows environments, networks, and virtualisation.

Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST CSF, ISO 27001), working knowledge of DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipeline integration.

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline, proficiency in scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python) to automate security tasks.
