Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Audit Expert to join our Office of Protocols and Professional Standards. The successful candidate will play a key role in establishing business process and service delivery audit and quality review processes for our consolidated business oversight function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop frameworks and audit processes with functional leaders
  • Provide operational and regulatory risk, policy compliance, gap analysis, and continual business process improvement expertise
  • Ensure operation of the AU Funerals National Accreditation Program and NSW Cemetery and Crematoria Licensing conditions
  • Ensure adherence to the Cremated Remains Policy
  • Deliver customer service standards
  • Uphold general business standards and facilities design
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Operational Risk Management or Business Administration
  • Prior experience in regulated operations, including Mortuary Services, Hospital, Funeral, or high-consequence facilities
  • Demonstrate ease working with the deceased, including identification and preparatory services audits
  • Collaborate on internal Audit processes, documentation, and follow-up practices
  • Identify and promote areas of ongoing improvement and efficiencies
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders
  • Exceptional rapport building and influencing skills
