Cyber Security Leadership Opportunity

Amazon is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Manager to lead a high-performance cyber security team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex security programs and delivering results-oriented solutions.

Job Description

The Cyber Security Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring the effectiveness of cyber security initiatives across Amazon's cloud-based infrastructure. This includes identifying and mitigating potential security risks, developing and implementing security policies and procedures, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of security measures.

  • Lead a team of cybersecurity experts in the development and implementation of comprehensive security strategies
  • Coordinate cybersecurity-related engagements with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration
  • Identify and prioritize cybersecurity packages of work, developing strategic plans for their delivery within agreed timeframes
  • Develop and implement comprehensive strategies to drive cybersecurity outcomes across the overall cloud capability
  • Implement security compliance frameworks into design and build baselines to achieve the agreed security posture
  • Create, optimize, and support cross-functional working groups and projects
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 6 years of experience managing a security team in a large enterprise
  • 7+ years of experience working in areas related to cyber security, such as Security Operations Centres (SOC), auditing, security architecture, regulatory affairs or public sector agencies involved in cybersecurity management
  • Through understanding of at least two of the following areas - application security, network security, platform security, cross-domain solutions and cryptography
  • Proficient with government security frameworks, policies and standards (e.g. PSPF, ISM, DSPF, ASD Essential Eight)
