About the Role

Hume City Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader to lead our Community Support Services team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Community Support Services team, overseeing day-to-day operations and contributing to the planning and implementation of changes in response to our growing community and ongoing reforms.
  • Liaise with a wide range of agencies, groups, and individuals to provide quality care with a person-centred approach.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve service delivery and outcomes for older people and people with disabilities from diverse backgrounds and varying needs.
  • Supervise, train, and support staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to deliver high-quality services.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant policies, procedures, and legislation to ensure compliance and best practice.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, implement, and respond to change within a team.
  • Strong knowledge of the Home and Community Care Program for Younger People (HACC-PYP) and Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP).
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders, including staff, clients, and external agencies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
