We are seeking an experienced Retail Manager to lead and grow our Delicatessen team.

As a Delicatessen Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of your department and ensuring the highest standards are met. Your key responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieving sales, gross profit & shrinkage budgets/targets
  • Completing orders/stock control
  • Delivering exceptional customer service
  • Leading, coaching and developing your team
  • Ensuring a high standard of presentation
  • Inventory management and stocktaking
  • Implementing in-store marketing & promotions
  • Prioritising and delegating tasks effectively

Requirements:

  • Proven management experience across fresh food areas such as deli and gourmet products
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to effectively delegate
  • A hands-on inspirational leader, passionate about your team and all things retail
  • Well-developed customer service skills
  • A love of staff development and training your people
  • A proactive attitude with the ability to react and adapt quickly
  • Administration and financial analysis ability
  • Visual merchandising skills to lead a team
  • Confidence with a large stock operation
  • Strong communication skills
  • A confident attitude with a respectful and warm approach
  • The ability to work some nights and weekends
