Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications

In this pivotal role, you will lead the City of Bunbury's marketing and corporate communications activities, ensuring effective internal and external communication strategies that align with our vision for a vibrant city.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Strategic Planning: Develop, implement, and measure comprehensive marketing and communication plans that enhance our city's profile as a premier destination.
  • Brand Management: Manage and maintain the City's brands, ensuring consistent representation across all platforms.
  • Marketing Campaigns: Coordinate high-profile campaigns that promote Bunbury as a desirable place to live, work, and invest.
  • Crisis Communications: Proactively address and respond to sensitive issues, providing strategic communications advice to staff, leaders, and elected members.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of marketing and communications professionals, fostering a collaborative environment that drives innovation and success.

Requirements:

  • Leadership Experience: A proven track record of leading teams in marketing and communications roles.
  • Communication Expertise: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build productive relationships.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strong experience in developing and delivering strategic marketing and communication plans.
  • Education and Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
