Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and dedicated Head Dog Trainer to lead our team and department at our Heathcote facility. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality dog training outcomes, educating and engaging pet owners, and maintaining operational standards within the Pet Hotel.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement training strategies based on proven animal behavior methodologies for individual dogs.
- Manage and deliver quality outcomes for our training programs, including Stay and Learn Programs, Home Dog Training, Group Classes, and Individual one-on-one sessions.
- Educate dog owners to successfully maintain our training schedule and ensure ongoing success in the home environment.
- Achieve budgeted dog training sales goals by driving sales and building client databases.
- Record and document training plans, session notes, and animal welfare duties associated with training dogs.
- Train and develop junior dog trainers to ensure a high level of expertise and consistency within the team.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a professional dog trainer with experience working with families and individuals, across a range of fields in dog training.
- Highly motivated by providing solutions, dog training skills/techniques, and superior customer service to dog owners.
- Ability to communicate effectively with owners, staff, and stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
- Strong administration skills and experience to maintain records and team management.
- Clear and concise communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and suggestions in a team environment.
- Current Australian driver's license and unrestricted work rights in Australia.
