About Therapeutic Foster Care

Therapeutic Foster Care (TFC) offers an enhanced model of foster care that provides specialized training and support to foster carers. This enables them to better understand and develop strategies to meet the needs of the child or young person in their care.

The Opportunity

We seek a dedicated and values-driven Senior Clinician to join our Take Two Team. As a Senior Clinician – Therapeutic Foster Care, you will:

  • Cultivate meaningful relationships with clients at various stages of the episode of care, including assessment, treatment, and closure.
  • Assume a leadership role in the team, supporting the Clinical Team Leader in building partnerships and driving key performance indicators.
  • Develop and implement therapeutic treatment plans with clear goals, regularly reviewed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Foster collaborative working relationships with relevant stakeholders, prioritizing advocacy for the dignity and human rights of clients.

We are looking for someone with experience conducting trauma-informed clinical work with children and young people, a passion for strength-based practice, and experience in the Child Protection and Out of Home Care sector.

To succeed in this role, you will possess exceptional interpersonal skills, the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care.

Required Skills and Qualifications

We require individuals with the following skills and qualifications:

  • Degree in psychology, social work, or a related field.
  • Relevant postgraduate qualification in clinical psychology or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the Child Protection and Out of Home Care sector.
  • Proven expertise in trauma-informed practice and strength-based approaches.
