About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Environmental Compliance Lead to join our team in the Asia Pacific region. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for environmental management and compliance to drive strategic initiatives and lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage complex environmental compliance initiatives and programs across functional teams, ensuring alignment with global standards and policies.
  • Develop and implement risk and compliance systems, driving their continuous improvement and scalability.
  • Leverage expertise in environmental management to provide specialist guidance and support to regional operations and construction teams.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and maintain effective environmental management systems, aligned with Amazon's sustainability goals.
  • Analyse complex problems, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement process enhancements to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead globally distributed/dispersed teams, fostering a culture of inclusion, diversity, and collaboration.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or a related field.
  • Several years of experience as an environmental technical resource or regulatory compliance specialist, managing complex environmental compliance initiatives and programs.
  • Proven ability to manage site-level and multi-site level technical environmental compliance in Asia.
  • Excellent communication skills, strong relationship building, influencing, and negotiation skills, with the ability to coach at multiple levels.
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem-solving ability.
