Job Title

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Social License Manager. This role will play a pivotal part in ensuring the successful implementation of our National Radioactive Waste Management Program.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a national social license strategy and evidence-based future investments that:

  • Fosters legitimacy, credibility, and trust among diverse stakeholders
  • Is based on transparency and consent from all parties involved
  • Gains and maintains social license through collaborative efforts

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to develop and implement social license strategies
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform social license initiatives
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including local communities and traditional owners
  • Develop and deliver training programs to ensure staff have the necessary skills to support social license initiatives
  • Monitor and report on progress against social license goals and objectives

Essential Requirements:

  • Degree in a relevant field (e.g. environmental science, communications, or public policy)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in stakeholder engagement, community relations, or a related field
  • Proven track record of managing complex social license initiatives and addressing community concerns in a transparent and effective manner
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethical practices, cultural sensitivity, and inclusion, particularly in engaging with Indigenous communities
