Maintenance Officer - Aged Care

About the Role

The Maintenance Officer will play a pivotal role in ensuring our facilities are safe, well-maintained, and contribute to the well-being of our residents. As a Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of our facility, creating a comfortable and secure environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend to general maintenance tasks as directed, including gardening as required.
  • Check maintenance logs and prioritize tasks, coordinating contractors as necessary.
  • Under the guidance of the Home Manager, plan and schedule maintenance across the home.
  • Order and store stock as required.
  • Ensure timely action of hazards, incidents, and other events that involve the maintenance function.
About You

Experience in maintenance/gardening roles, commitment to continuous quality improvement, working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control, demonstrated commitment to customer-focused services, driver's license Class, previous experience and understanding of aged care, trade qualifications and/or experience.
