Job Description:

The role of a Pastoral Care Coordinator involves providing pastoral care and support to clients, their families, and staff members. This includes being the point of contact for internal and external support services, acting as a role model and advocate for the organization's mission and values, sharing pastoral expertise with staff, and facilitating regular carer support groups.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a point of contact for internal and external support/referral services.">
  • Be a role model and advocate for the organization's mission and values.">
  • Share pastoral expertise and coach staff to support spiritual needs of clients.">
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to care plans.">
  • Facilitate regular carer support groups and network with other religious leaders.">
  • Develop tailored resources and ideas to enhance spiritual wellbeing of clients and families.">

Requirements:

">

To be successful in this role, you will require a strong understanding and experience of people living at home with life-limiting illness, including dementia, grief, and bereavement. You should also have experience in palliative care, a personal and active Christian faith, and theological/pastoral care qualifications.
