About the Role

Wood is seeking a highly experienced Lead Structural Engineer to join our Operations business in Perth CBD. As part of our strategic growth plan, you will play a pivotal role in partnering with a major player in the Oil & Gas industry on a major brownfields Engineering Service Contract.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of structural engineers in delivering complex projects within the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Develop and implement advanced structural engineering solutions, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks and legislation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence, safety, and commercial success.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams, ensuring seamless communication and project delivery.
Requirements
  • 15+ years of relevant design engineering experience in the Oil & Gas production and/or processing industries.
  • Proven experience working in a similar Lead/Principal Structural Engineering role, with a strong track record of delivering complex projects.
  • Expert knowledge of structural engineering principles, techniques, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire diverse teams.
  • Commercial acumen, with a solutions-focused mindset and ability to manage risk effectively.
