Job Overview

This role involves protecting Defence personnel, assets, and infrastructure through proactive patrols, access control, and a strong on-site presence.

About the Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security of Defence sites, maintaining situational awareness, and responding to incidents in a timely and appropriate manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor entry and exit points to ensure only authorised personnel are permitted on site
  • Conduct regular patrols to maintain situational awareness and deter potential threats
  • Build rapport with Defence personnel, contractors, and visitors while maintaining a strong security presence
  • React promptly and appropriately to alarms, emergencies, or suspicious behaviour
  • Evaluate site protocols and Defence security procedures to ensure compliance
Requirements
  • Australian Citizenship required for Defence security clearance eligibility
  • Current QLD Security Licence
  • Negative Vetting 1 Defence Clearance or willingness to obtain one
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence in engaging with Defence personnel and stakeholders
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions
  • Strong integrity, accountability, and attention to detail
